Quoll Headquarters was purchased by founder and passionate conservationist, Steve Haslam in 2001 solely for conservation of it's incredible natural diversity. Since that time, Steve has tirelessly maintained this rich ecosystem and developed a fully functioning fenced reserve vital to the future conservation of Australia's threatened species.
Quoll Headquarters and the surrounding National Parks are a cornerstone for the Spotted-tailed Quoll with high altitude mature old growth forest, granite boulders and escarpments and abundant gullies and watercourse shaded from the tree canopy. This is the preferred habitat for the Spotted-tailed Quoll and supplies an abundant variety of prey and shelter and den sites to raise their young. Quoll Headquarters was also home to the smaller Eastern Quoll, but as you know from the article above, this species was driven to extinction on mainland Australia in the 1960s.

Quoll HQ is home to many other species of mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles. They work with the general public, media organisations, schools and universities, scientific institutions, wildlife carers and government agencies to get the greatest possible conservation results while providing an 'in the field' education platform.
They are totally reliant on tours, grants, donations and bequests to fund their ongoing conservation work. If you would like to help, please visit their website at www.quollheadquarters.com.au
