Description
The Nabarlek is a small wallaby and the Nabarlek (Top End) can be distinguished from the other 2 subspecies by its greyer fur colour. The Nabarlek species inhabit rocky areas and shelter during the day in caves located in cliffs and rockpiles and emerge at night to feed. Their diet includes a variety of grasses, sedges, ferns and forbs.
Threats
The main threats to the Nabarlek (Top End) are predation by feral cats and frequent, extensive and intense fires.
