Description
The Sharman's Rock-wallaby has a limited range with around 80% of known colonies are located in the Australian Wildlife Conservancy's Mount Zero - Taravale wildlife sanctuary. The species is found in a variety of rocky habitats within open forests or grassy woodlands where they shelter during the day in rocky refuges and emerge at dusk to feed.
Threats
The most severe threats to the Sharman's Rock-wallaby is habitat degradation and resource depletion due to livestock and feral herbivores and habitat loss and fragmentation.
