Description
The central rock-rat is a nocturnal, terrestrial rodent with large ears, prominent eyes and a stout build. The central rock-rat was found in Western Australia and the Northern Territory in the past, but is now only found in the Northern Territory and was thought to be extinct in there early 1990s.
Threats
The main threats to the central rock-rat are extensive fires and predation by feral cats.
