Description

As the name suggests, the Cape York Rock-wallaby is restricted to the eastern Cape York Peninsula. Within this area its distribution is fragmented and associated with rocky outcrops. There have been no detailed studies of the ecology of the Cape York Rock-wallaby.

Threats

The threats to the Cape York Rock-wallaby are inappropriate fire regimes, habitat degradation and resource depletion due to livestock and feral herbivores.
