Description
The Night Parrot is one of the most elusive and mysterious birds in the world. It is one of only two nocturnal parrot species in the work and is thought to have poor eyesight. They are a medium sized, ground-feeding parrot with is current distribution not known, but is only found in Australia.
Threats
Due to the elusiveness of this species, there threats can only be assumed with the decline of the species. These include predation by feral cats and foxes, disease, human induced fire events and degradation of habitat
